Perfect location and great views. The hotel was conveniently situated in the heart of the city, offering stunning views of the surrounding area. The key attractions were easily accessible, making it a great base for exploring the city. Additionally, the spacious two-bedroom apartment provided comfortable accommodation for our group of three, allowing us to relax and unwind after a day of sightseeing.
Lack of amenities. One downside of our stay was the absence of basic amenities in the kitchenette.

We had the most incredible experience staying at Agora Nei Sassi. The room was beautifully furnished and had everything we needed, including a comfortable bed and a well-equipped bathroom. The highlight was definitely the terrace, which offered breathtaking views of the ancient churches and the old sassi. We felt like we were part of a movie, just like Mel Gibson's famous film. The host, Enzo, was exceptional and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. He provided us with valuable information and even gave us a ride to the train station. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.
There was a slight issue with the internet, but it was promptly resolved by Uccio, the host.

The location was absolutely perfect for exploring the historical sites and hiking in the area. The view from the room was stunning, overlooking the caves and town. Additionally, the room itself was stylishly furnished and very clean.
The lack of cutlery and washing up liquid in the kitchenette was a bit inconvenient. Also, the wifi connection was quite poor, which made it difficult to stay connected during my stay.

Amazing location in the heart of the old town, with incredible views of the ravine and surrounding area. The host was incredibly friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The room was spacious and comfortable, providing everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The breakfast served in the open courtyard was delicious, with a variety of options including fresh fruit and pizza/focaccia.
The lack of wifi was a minor inconvenience, especially for foreign guests who rely on internet access. It would have been nice to have more information provided about nearby attractions and activities.

Staying at Agora Nei Sassi was an absolute dream. The charming cave room had a cozy atmosphere that made me feel like I was truly experiencing the essence of Matera. The cleanliness of the room and comfortable beds added to the overall comfort of my stay. The breathtaking view from the terrace was absolutely mesmerizing, showcasing the ancient churches and the stunning canyon. It felt like I was stepping into a scene from a movie. Enzo, the host, went above and beyond to ensure that I had a fantastic stay. His helpfulness and wealth of information truly enhanced my experience in Matera. I also appreciated his kind gesture of giving me a ride to the train station. I can't recommend Agora Nei Sassi enough. It's a unique and authentic place to stay, and if given the chance, don't miss out on this opportunity. Grazie mille!
Although my stay was nearly perfect, it would have been nice to have a small outside table and chairs to enjoy the wonderful weather. Additionally, I had difficulty operating the A/C and ultimately had to turn it off.
